The new year is here and last year is in the memory archives. As I get older I find that creature comforts become more and more important as does time spent with family. To that end, I bought a new camper to make my stay away from home on fishing trips more enjoyable (if that is at all possible) and to make room to take the family on trips. I'll include some pics of the camper in during my first trip in April.

Then too, since I’m always on the hunt for new fly fishing partners, I think I found one. He’s my grandson and while he’s only three, he shows enthusiasm, drive and interest. I hope I’m still around to enjoy time with him on the stream when he matures. Until that happens I'll continue to search for others who share my passion for the sport and can spend some valuable time on the stream.

Kettle Creek 11-3 thru 11-6-2024

I hit the Kettle at the exact right time. the weather was more than perfect (if that's possible) and the fish were cooperative. Except for one fish, everything I caught and missed were on dry flies...amazing

Spring and Bald Eagle 10-21 thru 10-23-2024

I had some of the most beautiful weather that I could wish for but, as is par for this time of year, the fishing was tough. Low, super clear water made the fish almost disappear. Brought a few to dries and that made the entire trip a pleasure.

Penns Creek 10-7 thru 10-10-2024

Stayed at Poe Paddy State Park which is close to the trophy fising area on Penns Creek. Conditions were about as perfect as I could wish for. Fair weather, few fishermen to contend with, cool water and pleasant air temps. Only complaint was the wind but I guess you can't have it all.
