The Spring fishing is over and the heat of summer is here. I've packed away the trout stuff and pulled out the warm water fishing gear. Now, it's time to put the boat in the water and hit the Susquehanna, Juniata Rivers and a few warm water lakes.

Still believe the same old saying:

Growing old sucks!

I’m always on the hunt for new fly fishing partners andI think I found one. He’s my grandson and while he’s only four and three quarters, he shows enthusiasm, drive and interest. I hope I’m still around to enjoy time with him on the stream when he matures. Until that happens I'll continue to search for others who share my passion for the sport and can spend some valuable time on the stream.

Because the weather was so lousy the last time I took Reid out to the river, I owed him a better trip. So, this was it. Weather was fine although a bit warm but overall, a good time.

Solo trip to the Susquehanna. This will be a common theme for a while. No reason to drive all the way to the Juniata when I'm doing just as well on the Susky. So, beautiful weather, cooperative fish (although you had to work for them) and no crowds, Amazing day.

Took Reid out for an evening of fishing. Guess I should have checked the weather for the wind. Found that it was over 30 mph. Fun night cut short because of the conditions but we still caught one or two.
