I visited Penns Creek in in the beginning of October. Wanted to hit the October caddis but I was a week late. Saw one on the water and two more in the latrine. Penns was beautiful...as always. The wind kicked up making casting difficult but just being in these surroundings is amazing. Didn't catch much but the ones I got were just that more appreciated. After all, it is called "Fishing" as the old saying goes.

On a sad note, for those who may have checked out my Spring Creek and Bald Eagle outings you may have seen another fisherman in the pics. His name was Mike Barr. I learned that Mike passed on December 11,2021. He will be sorely missed. Funny how little I knew about him except we shared a real love of fly fishing. I wll think of him often while on the streams he used to call home.

Little Juniata 9-23 thru 9-26-2024

Spent three days on the Little J in the rain. The rain let up a little every once in a while but the sun never made an appearance. Water temps were about perfect at 62 degrees and this would have been a perfect trip but for the rain...think I mentioned that.

Susquehanna 9-9-2024

Gary and I spent a morning on the Susquehanna. We tried a boat launch at a location where I had never fished. Turned out to be an exploratory trip. Still, we got a few small ones to brighten up the day.

Penns Creek 10-7 thru 10-10-2024

Stayed at Poe Paddy State Park which is close to the trophy fising area on Penns Creek. Conditions were about as perfect as I could wish for. Fair weather, few fishermen to contend with, cool water and pleasant air temps. Only complaint was the wind but I guess you can't have it all.
